I've been working out again. I enjoy it! I feel good about myself when I work out. I feel healthier and I feel like I'm taking control of who I am physically... well that's what I tell myself anyway. It seems, that NO MATTER WHAT I do, how carefully I watch what I eat and count every single calorie including the ketchup and single fry that I stole from my son. Yes, I even count that. Seriously. And you know what? I haven't lost one single pound. Not one. In fact, today I went to the gym. Before I started my workout I weighed myself and I weighed about what I weighed last Sunday. Ok fine. Whatever. The scales wrong, ok?
But then what did I do? After my workout I decided to step back on the scale. I couldn't even tell you why, but I did. maybe it's because I have sadistic tendencies. Who knows. But get this? Guess what the scale read...
It told me (yes it TOLD me) that I weighed one more pound than I had weighed 2 hours earlier?!? How in the hell is that even possible? All I could do was flip it the bird and walk away. I'm sure it saw me and I'll pay for it next time I step on the biotch, but such is life.
And why did I bring all this up... it fits in nicely with this pic. I love this little jumper. I love the argyle tights and the black ruffled shirt with little eyelet hoops to catch the buttons (and for the life of me I couldn't get my camera to capture the details of the blouse. If there are any photographers out there with some tips, help a girl out, would ya :)
Anyway, back to the jumper. The jumper, I realized, makes me look kind of thick throughout the torso. I then looked closer and while yes, I may have a bit of shaping up to do, I think it might be more prevalent because of the cut of the jumper ... what do you think?
Here's the pic
And the cost? HA!
The jumper is from New York and Co - clearance rack - $12.00
The blouse is from The Limited and was bought before I started this frugal shopping effort :)
Tights are a Walmart special and cost $5.00
I couldn't find anything similar to share with you all, so my apologies! I'll just have to make up for it later with some more great sale finds! You have my promise!
